anne frank workshop ♡
We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same.
All this started in the midst of November when my fellow classmates and I were selected for the Anne Frank Workshop. At first, a lot of edits and drafts went on for the people
who were selected. We all were pretty anxious and were eager to find out who all were
finally chosen in the final list of people who’ll take forward this project. Thankfully,
most of the people who were (at first) “roughly” selected - made it through.

Now, being completely honest, even though I knew about Anne Frank and her story and
I knew that this workshop would obviously be about her life and all... I wasn’t very sure
about how we will be conducting this “workshop”. I had never been selected for a
workshop before so I was completely petrified and had no clue what a workshop is and
how we conduct it. Though, few of my friends had done these things before and gave
me insights on how this thing works.

The workshop practice was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. And taught me so
much about Anne and her life. It’s truly amazing to experience and behold the detail of
a person’s life (i.e Anne Frank) who is an inspiration to millions of children. You see,
Anne kept a diary of her experiences as she and her Jewish family hid from the Nazis
Anne kept a diary of her experiences as she and her Jewish family hid from the Nazis
live in fear of the Nazis in the 1940s, there is something else about it that makes
it inspirational.
"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside,
somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see
people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exist, and it certainly
always will, I know that then there will always be a comfort for every sorrow, whatever
the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”
It is beyond amazing to read about a young girl who lived under such terrible conditions
and yet remained so positive throughout her time in hiding. When you don’t even know
if you’ll be alive the next day, it is pretty hard to remain positive all the time. But Anne
had the courage to take out positives from the negatives and have faith that one day she
would make out alive.
Her biggest dream was to be alive even after she died, and she sure did, through
her diary that inspired millions of teenager across the world.
